Law School Fellowship Opportunity

I received an e-mail today from Dawn Viggiano, Staff Attorney at The National Center for Adoption Law and Policy at Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, with an opportunity for pre-law students. This should be especially interesting to those of you who are thinking about someday getting into family law:Law School Fellowship

Changes to Dues

At the beginning of the semester, we mentioned that new member dues would be going up (this is a change made by PAD nationals, not our local chapter). We will be accepting applictations with the one time fee of $100 until the end of this semester. If you turn in an application and pay before the semester is over, you are done paying for life. ALL applications received after the end of fall semester will be under the new dues plan, which means $100 a semester rather than a one-time lifelong fee.

If you are at all interested in joining PAD, PLEASE turn in your application and dues BEFORE winter break, even if you haven’t been to any meetings!! You will not have another chance to keep your dues at $100 total!

Initiation!!

PADers–

Important news! Initiation is tomorrow night (Dec 2nd) in the McCook Room of the Burge Union. New members need to be there at 5:30pm. Members who have already been initiated can come at 6:00pm (they are welcome to come at 5:30). Following initiation, we will all head to the Wheel for some free pizza!! (Initiated members, feel free to meet us at the Wheel a little after 6:00pm)

We will have new PAD t-shirts for the members that come tomorrow night. If you aren’t at tomorrow’s meeting, YOU WILL NOT GET A PAD SHIRT for this year!

Dress for this meeting is casual, so feel free to wear jeans or whatever you’d like.

I really hope to see everyone there! It’s going to be a great way to wrap up our semester!!
